Biography

James Michael Robbins, known professionally as Jimmy Robbins, was born on September 3, 1989, in Raleigh, North Carolina. He faced significant personal tragedy at age 14 when his mother passed away, prompting him to quit school and join a touring band as a guitarist. By 17, he signed his first major record deal with Universal Motown Records in October 2007, releasing his debut album See Through Secrets digitally in 2009 after touring with artists like Mitchel Musso and on Radio Disney’s dTour. Initially pursuing a career as a performing artist, Robbins discovered his passion for songwriting during co-writing sessions for his album, marking the beginning of his transition from artist to professional songwriter and producer.[1][2][3]
