Os Haxixins

Biography

Os Haxixins are a retro-styled garage rock band from São Paulo, Brazil, named after the 19th-century Club des Hashischins, a group of poets and intellectuals known for their fondness for hashish. Emerging from the city's underground garage-rock scene, they are recognized as one of the most obscure and ill-fated acts, drawing heavily from the raw, primitive sound of 1960s garage punk and psychedelic rock. The band committed to authenticity by using exclusively vintage gear, wearing period clothing sourced from junk shops, and insisting on analog tape recording for their debut album, postponing sessions until finding a suitable local engineer.[2][4][5]

Fun Facts
