Maggie Antone

Biography

Maggie Antone, born in 2002 in Richmond, Virginia, displayed remarkable vocal talent from a young age, singing along to the radio in her carseat and captivating audiences by performing national anthems at large venues starting at age seven. Her parents supported her passion through voice lessons and musical theater, and by sophomore year of high school, she won the Voice of RVA competition with an original song about addiction titled 'Pawn Shop 12 String,' shifting her focus from theater to songwriting and performing at local venues for charities. Originally a reluctant college student challenged by severe ADHD and non-linear thinking, Antone dropped out in late 2021 to pursue music full-time after her TikTok cover of Tyler Childers' 'Lady May' went viral, amassing a global following and leading to her debut covers EP Interpretations in 2022 on her own label Love Big.

Antone's musical style blends alt-country, y’all-ternative, and Americana with powerful vocals, honest lyricism, vulnerability, and charismatic storytelling that invites deep emotional connection, often drawing from personal experiences like fleeting heartbreaks in her debut album Rhinestoned, released via Love Big and Thirty Tigers to widespread acclaim. Tracks like 'Johnny Moonshine' showcase her upbeat, foot-stomping energy alongside sassy, retro country vibes reminiscent of 1970s honky-tonk, while she commands stages with spunk and sweetness, sharing bills with artists like Brent Cobb and Megan Moroney at festivals including ACL. Now a full-time artist with her band The Rhinestones, she continues self-releasing music while building a reputation as country's enthralling new muse.
