Kacey Lee Musgraves was born on August 21, 1988, in Golden, Texas, and emerged as one of contemporary country music's most innovative and critically acclaimed artists. She began her musical journey in the early 2000s, self-releasing three solo albums between 2002 and 2007 while also recording as a member of the duo Texas Two Bits. Her professional breakthrough came in 2007 when she appeared on the fifth season of Nashville Star, finishing in seventh place.
